ADVENTURE / NATURE

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. Covered with lush rainforest, active volcanoes, foaming waterfalls and colourful creatures, Costa Rica is a haven for adventure seekers, nature lovers and beach worshippers. All will be seduced.

The dry season boasts plenty of sunshine, making it an ideal time for exploring the rainforest, spotting wildlife, catching waves on a surf board, lounging on beaches and kayaking.

Costa Rica’s coast is home to dozens of important nesting beaches for four turtle species, eatherback, green, hawksbill, and olive ridley. There are specific times of the year when you can witness sea turtles nesting and hatching in Costa Rica. On the Pacific coast leatherbacks, the largest sea turtle species, nest from September to March. The Las Baulas Marine National Park is an important zone for nesting of the species, with authorised local guides taking limited numbers of visitors to this extremely special site.

ADVENTURE / NATURE

Finnish Lapland

In the winter time, the northern most part of Finland, Lapland, is a magical winter wonderland.

Begin your visit by experiencing the Finnish lifestyle. Bake traditional pastries, hear stories of the Sami people and enjoy delicious, locally sourced food. Then immerse yourself in the natural adventure playground. Explore the artic winter forest on a snowshoe trip, sit back and relax on a reindeer sledge ride or enjoy a snowmobile safari leading you to stunning natural sights. In Finnish Lapland there are fun filled activities for all!

No trip to Finnish Lapland is complete without viewing the mesmerising Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). Alongside the more traditional ways to go Aurora spotting such as cross-country skiing or snowmobiling, you may decide to watch the spectacular light show from the warmth of your own glass igloo. Dozing off under the beauty of the Northern Lights, simply magical.

Cambodia

Cambodia’s rich culture makes it a fascinating destination with so much to discover. This enchanting land is home to the breathtaking ruins of Angkor, the floating villages of Tonlé Sap, unchartered jungles, golden beaches and delicious cuisine.

The vibrant capital city of Phnom Penh is an attraction in its own right, a city where the modern and traditional collide. As you wander around the busy streets of Phnom Penh you will be captivated by the striking gold spires of the Royal Palace, the aromas from the street food stalls and the sounds of the bustling markets. Away from the buzzing city streets, Tuol Sleng and Choeung Ek are reminders of Cambodia’s tragic past. The displays at the genocide museums are heart rendering, but a part of the country’s history that should never be forgotten.

Away from the capital city, the mellow French-colonial town of Kratie will provide a taste of riverside life next to the magical Mekong. You may be lucky enough to spot the rare Irrawaddy dolphin in the calm river waters.

If you want to explore more of Cambodia’s natural environment you must visit Cambodia’s national parks. At Ream National Park you will find a wide variety of ecosystems including rivers, estuaries, beaches, coral reefs, forests, rainforests, mangroves and open water making it a prime location to find a large number of different species of plants and animals.

From the great temples of Angkor in Siem Reap to the hedonistic beaches of the south, Cambodia has so much to offer.
