Packing list for a European skiing holiday

A ski packing list helps ensure you have all the essential items to enjoy your time on the slopes. You'll be well-prepared for your ski adventure with our packing list below!

Clothing:

  • Thermal base layers (tops and bottoms) to wear under your ski gear
  • Ski jacket and pants or a snowsuit
  • Sweaters or fleece jackets for layering
  • Waterproof and insulated gloves or mittens
  • Warm socks (wool or synthetic) for skiing
  • Neck gaiter or scarf to protect your face from cold winds
  • Warm hat or beanie
  • Ski goggles to protect your eyes from snow glare
  • Sunglasses for sunny days
  • Ski helmet for safety on the slopes (unless you plan to rent it at the ski resort)
  • Comfortable and warm après-ski clothing (sweaters, pants, boots) for lounging and socialising in the evenings
  • Swimsuit if your accommodation has a sauna or hot tub!

Equipment:

  • Skis, boots, and poles (unless you plan to rent them at the ski resort)
  • Ski bag or ski carrier for transporting your equipment (if applicable)
  • Snowboard, boots, and bindings (if you prefer snowboarding)
  • Snowboard bag or carrier (if applicable)
  • Backpack for carrying essentials on the slopes
  • Ski lock to secure your equipment when not in use
  • Ski wax and tuning tools (if you prefer to maintain your own equipment)
  • Portable boot dryer or boot warmer to dry your boots overnight

Accessories:

  • Travel adapter (if necessary) to charge your electronic devices
  • Portable charger to keep your phone and other electronics powered up on the go
  • Camera or smartphone for capturing memories on the slopes
  • Memory cards or extra batteries for your camera
  • Waterproof bag or case to protect your electronic devices from snow and moisture
  • Luggage locks to secure your belongings in your accommodation
  • Travel insurance documents and emergency contact numbers
  • European health insurance card (if applicable)

Toiletries and Medications:

  • Travel-sized toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, etc.)
  • Lip balm with SPF to protect your lips from wind and sun
  • Moisturiser to combat dry skin
  • Sunscreen with a high SPF for sun protection at high altitudes
  • Pain relievers for any aches or pains after skiing (if applicable)
  • Prescription medications (if applicable)

Miscellaneous:

  • Cash and/or credit cards for expenses during your trip
